God Has A Communication problem With Us!
So, what is obvious is that there is communication problem. God, the father, has not yet figured out a good way to communicate with us without getting upset. He sent Jesus, who gave many speeches during his time in the Earth. But most people at that time didn't grasp the significance of what he said. So, there is a communication gap. If God has a communication problem, is it any surprising that we have a communication problem too?
Part of the reason why we have this communication difficulty is because God does things differently than we do or expect. Rambachen explained it this way. Let us take the example of Mary and how the whole business of the birth of Jesus was handled. Mary was engaged to Joseph. God decided that Mary is the perfect person to bear his only son. So, he sends the angel to inform Mary that she had been chosen for this honor. But the angel does not tell this to Joseph. Joseph was kept complete dark on the affair. He saw that Mary is already pregnant and he was upset. He was planning to get rid of her quietly to avoid a scandal. Now the angel appears and tell Joseph about what really happened.
All this confusion could have been avoided. If the angel had just appeared at the engagement ceremony and told all those who were present there, "Ladies and gentlemen. I am glad that you all came here today for the engagement of Joseph with Mary. Now I have some very good news. God has chosen Mary to bear his son who was promised in the scriptures. So, she cannot be wed to Joseph." If the angel had done like this, everyone over there would have probably clapped their hands and would have gone and congratulated Mary. She would have become an instant celebrity, one who had been chosen to bear God's son. All the media would be featuring her, waiting for the birth of the famous son., etc. Did God do this? No.
If God did not want to announce it in the engagement party, he could have sent the angel first to Joseph to inform of the selection of Mary. That certainly would have removed all that suffering Mary had to undergo. Or, when the angel said that to Mary, Mary could have told the angel, "I am deeply honored that you chose me for this important job. But can I just have a word with the man I am engage to before I can say yes?" If Mary had done that, asking Joseph before saying "yes" that also would have eliminated many of the agony she had to undergo later.
