Seeking the Intercession of Parumala Kochuthirumeni - Few Thoughts
By Sam Philipose, Sankarathil

Why Do We Seek the Intercession of Parumala Kochuthirumeni?

1. Parumala Thirumeni had offered himself as a living sacrifice to God, through his service and worship and thereby, he pleased our God (Romans 12:1)

We too have to please our God, through our selfless service and worship.

2. He lived in fellowship with God.

By rejecting Satan and accepting Jesus Christ during our baptism, we have agreed to have fellowship with God.

Do we, by any means, tried to get away from His fellowship? If so, we have to remember our agreement with God and return to God.

How we can find out that we are in fellowship with God?

Jeremiah 9: 23 says " Wise men shouldn't boast of their wisdom nor strong men of their strength nor rich men of their wealth "

If we find happiness or security in our wealth, wisdom or strength, we are not in fellowship with God, because we should find happiness in praising God for his countless blessings showering upon us.
Our Kochuthirumeni never boasted on his wisdom. So he lived in fellowship with God.

Romans 12:3 again says about boasting -"Don't think of yourself more highly than you should. Instead, be modest in your thinking and judge yourself according to the amount of faith that God has given to us. "

If we do so, please read Jeremiah 2:13.
"My people have committed two sins. They have turned away from me the spring of fresh water and they have dug cisterns, cracked cisterns that can hold no water"

If we turn away from the fellowship of God, dear brothers, this is a warning for us. We will not get any blessings from God.

Still he wants us to be with him, because he doesn't want to stop his blessings.

If we read Jeremiah 2:21, again we will see how He considers us.
"I planted you like a choice vine from the very best seeds. But look what you have become ? You are like a rotten worthless wine ".

We are selected from the best seeds. We shouldn't turn to rotten seeds.

So dear brothers and sisters, we should grow in the Garden of our Lord only as a choice vine, by offering ourselves as living sacrifice to God, through our service and worship.

Let us follow the path of our Saint, Parumala Kochuthirumeni. Let us please God and also, let us live in fellowship with God. During these days and always, let us seek the intercession of our St. Gregorios of Parumala, to grow ourselves and let others grow in the love of our Lord.
